She pulled a burgundy shirt out of the trunk to complete the outfit. As she tightened her belt around her waist Allison got up and walked over to her. She carefully tightened the laces of Morgan’s shirt, and looked up to find Morgan watching her. Dropping her gaze, she smoothed her hands across the front of the shirt then found her hands clasped in Morgan’s. Morgan took her hands and put them at her side, away from her touch.

"I doubt I will be back before you go to sleep, so don't wait up." Allison sighed softly.

"I really wish you didn’t have to go down there, I w-," Allison found her words cut off by a finger placed across her lips.

"We will talk in the morning, Allison," Morgan promised. Allison tried to come up with a reason for Morgan to linger longer, but before she could get her tingling lips to move Morgan had slipped out the door.

Allison sighed softly to herself and looked around the empty room. Her lips still feeling the shadow of the touch against them, she decided she might as well get ready for bed. She glanced at her trunks, pondering the choices she had, before her eyes drifted over to Morgan’s. One of the captain’s shirts was lying over the top, and Allison walked over and picked it up. Smiling to herself, she carried it over to the bed and let her robe fall to her feet. Slipping the shirt over her head she let herself indulge in the familiar scent of the fabric. Allison knew she should try to go to sleep, but her thoughts kept drifting off to dwell on the touch of Morgan’s fingers on her skin. She couldn’t help wondering how Morgan’s meeting with Carolyn was going, her jealous imagination painting quite the picture. Deciding that reading might take her mind off of the captain, she retrieved a book from the shelves by the door and crawled up into the bed.

The feather mattress was even more luxurious than the one Morgan had in her cabin on the ship, and it pulled Allison down into it. Curling up on her side she rested the book on the bed beside her and propped her head on her hand. Stubbornly, she made herself pay attention to the words on the pages in front of her, trying to keep the image of Morgan kissing Carolyn out of her mind.

Morgan slowly made her way down the hall to Carolyn’s parlor, trying to compose herself. Her skin felt tight over her body and her thoughts kept wandering back to the feel of Allison’s skin under her fingers and her soft lips against her fingers. Pausing outside the door she shook herself, trying to clear her mind. Resting her hand on the doorknob she took a deep breath, then opened the door and walked into the room. Carolyn's parlor was a study in extravagance, with rich oriental rugs and ornate furniture everywhere. The woman had turned the lamps down low, setting an intimate mood, and was sitting on a stool in front of the fire brushing her hair. She had changed out of the revealing dress she had been wearing when Morgan arrived to a robe that was tied loosely around her waist, leaving the neck gaping open to reveal a fair amount of her cleavage. Looking up at Morgan as she shut the door behind her, she smiled.

"Well, hello there, lover. I was wondering when you were going to come see me." Carolyn rose from her stool and paused for a moment, knowingly letting the fire reveal her curves in silhouette through the nearly sheer fabric of her robe. She glided across the room, looking Morgan up and down as she approached.

"Tsk, tsk. Captain Morgan, you haven’t been taking very good care of yourself, have you." Stepping very close to Morgan, she ran her fingers along the side of her face. "You look all worn out, you poor thing." Taking Morgan’s arm she tucked herself against her and started to move them towards the secret door that Morgan knew led to the bedroom. Her body still on fire from the interlude with Allison, her heartbeat jumped quickly in anticipation. The woman’s hands had already slid up under her shirt and were caressing her hot skin. Pulling them to a stop in front of the fireplace, Morgan tried to tell Carolyn that she had missed her and found her words smothered in a hot, passionate kiss. Moaning softly, Morgan pulled Carolyn against her and kissed her back fiercely. Her body willingly leapt to life under the very knowing hands that caressed her. Carolyn pulled her down onto the rug in front of the fireplace, wrapping a leg up around her hip and pulling her into her embrace. Her hand slipped under the gaping robe to fill itself with the curve of a heavy breast, and as she nibbled on the neck baring itself for her, Carolyn murmured in her ear.

"Oh I’ve ached for you so…it’s nice to know you missed me too." Hands pulled her closer and she willingly sank into Carolyn's welcoming embrace. The woman in her arms melted under her caresses and Morgan felt her tension flood away in the waves of passion.

Allison woke slowly, the sound of birds singing outside nudging her awake. Blinking in the early morning light she fought off a stretch as she felt Morgan’s arms wrapped around her. Smiling sleepily she moved a little in the curve of the body behind her and felt herself pulled tighter against Morgan. Morgan nuzzled the soft skin at the base of Allison’s neck, making Allison murmur a soft sound of appreciation. Morgan slid her hand up her hip and under her shirt, leaving a path of pleasure as she slid it across her stomach. Allison ran her fingers up and down Morgan’s forearm as she caressed her, her other reaching up to bury itself in Morgan’s hair. The captain reached her arm around her waist and turned her around in her arms. Allison’s shirt slid up as Morgan slid her closer, and Allison found herself looking deep into a pair of very startled blue eyes.

"My apologies," Morgan said softly, pulling her hands away from the small of her back. Allison arched her back and tried to settle herself closer. Morgan slid back away from Allison and turned to swing her legs out of bed as a rap sounded on the door. Allison looked at her inquisitively.

"I left instructions at the desk to have breakfast brought up. I’m sure you must be famished." Allison nodded and sat up in the bed, watching Morgan walk across the room to the door. Her hair was rumpled and the shirt she wore ended high on her thigh. Allison admired the view from behind her hair, ducking her head when Morgan glanced over her shoulder. Allison heard her thank someone, watching as the captain turned with a huge tray, kicking the door shut behind her. She carried it over to the bed and set it down in the middle, then climbed in and sat opposite her.

"Go ahead," she said, motioning at the tray. "See what they sent." Allison reached out and lifted the cover off the tray and set it down on the bed, her eyes widening at the food on the tray. Her stomach grumbled, making Morgan laugh, as she stared at the fresh fruit, steaming muffins, toasted bread, and small jars of jam. Morgan reached out and picked up a sliver of fruit and offered it to Allison. "Try this…it’s delicious." Allison smiled and leaned forward, taking the offering from Morgan’s fingers with her teeth. Her eyes widened at the explosion of flavor in her mouth, tart and sweet at the same time. Seeing that she liked it, Morgan nudged the bowl over towards her.

Allison sighed softly and ate in silence, at a loss at how to draw out the enchanting captain that had entertained her on the ship. Morgan seemed much more relaxed this morning, but the hunger that had tinted her gaze whenever it fell on Allison was disappointingly gone, replaced by cool detachment.

Morgan finished the last of her biscuit as another rap sounded at the door. Frowning, she called out.

"Who is it,"

"Cap’n,?" Jacob’s muffled voice drifted through the door. .

"Wasn't he on the ship?" Allison asked. Morgan nodded.

"He wouldn’t have left the ship if there wasn’t a good reason." Trying to reason out why her first mate left the vessel unattended she headed for the door. Glancing over her shoulder she saw that Allison had pulled the blankets up and over her and had retrieved a muffin from the tray next to the bed. She looked incredibly sexy, and Morgan had no doubt that anyone would think that she had more than just slept in Morgan's bed. Reaching the door she opened it and leaned against the wall.

"Yes, Jacob?"

"Sorry, cap’n, but we hadn’ aheard from ya yet and da broker has been a askin’ about t’lil ship." Morgan’s eyebrow arched up in surprise and she waved Jacob into the room. His eyes flickered to the bed then shot a surprised look at Morgan. Morgan smiled and shrugged a little at him, and he chuckled under his breath and patted her on the shoulder. Allison greeted him from the bed, her voice still husky enough to send goosebumps down Morgan’s arms.

"Morning, Jacob."

"Mornin’, Miss, sleep well?
